I suppose the owner of this remarkable lake home didn't have to install that resort style, saltwater pool in the yard. He didn't really have to have his mason build an outdoor living space with massive wood burning fireplace. He didn't have to landscape the property to a degree where you'd be forgiven for confusing this garden with an admission-charging botanical garden. He didn't have to clad the bathrooms with Waterworks tile. He didn't have to do any of this, but he did, and it's perfection.
